Many children attend their local public primary schools, but each year, some also move on to private primary schools or international schools. Although HAPPY HORIZONS does not specifically offer entrance exam preparation, some families use our four-day care service to supplement their preparations.<\/p>\n

\nFrom the time of enrollment for over four years, the staff have always been there, watching over my child. I was able to truly trust every one of the teachers.<\/p>\n

\u25cfThe close bond between children and teachers!<\/strong>
\nThe bond between children and teachers was very close. They accepted the children as they were, recognizing and nurturing their strengths. When discipline or conflicts arose, the teachers handled them with care and sometimes firmness, but they never once made the children feel rejected or unworthy.<\/p>\n

\u25cfThe balanced activities!<\/strong>
\nThe children engaged in a well-rounded range of activities, including physical exercise, music, and cognitive development. I could see that they gradually embraced and learned English over time.<\/p>\n

\u25cfFood education!<\/strong>
\nThe food education was especially excellent! It\u2019s rare for international schools to provide meals, but HAPPY HORIZONS offers food education with a focus on Japanese cuisine, which I think is unique.<\/p>\n

\u25cfLearning approach!<\/strong>\u2028
\nhe way children were encouraged to question, propose ideas, create, and test their concepts through project-based learning is remarkable. This kind of approach, which is now being emphasized in high school due to university entrance exam reforms, is something that cannot be developed overnight. I believe it\u2019s wonderful that my child was able to experience this foundational learning approach in their early years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    I\u2019m grateful for the many things the wonderful adults at HAPPY HORIZONS have taught my children.
    \nThey nurture my children\u2019s interests and encourage them to act on their own initiative.<\/p>\n

    For example, my oldest son was allowed to set his hair every day, something that would probably not have been allowed at other schools. I\u2019m really thankful that they supported his actions and choices. Also, I was especially pleased with the focus on food education.\u2028\u2028Through the projects, my children were able to think, act, and experience for themselves, which was a great opportunity to fuel their curiosity.\u2028\u2028The ability for my children to learn Japanese, English, math, and literacy at their own pace and with enjoyment was a great comfort as they approached primary school.\u2028\n<\/p><\/div>\n

    The experience of being exposed to English in a natural setting greatly expanded my child\u2019s potential in various ways.<\/p>\n

    But most importantly, I could confidently send my child here because I knew the teachers were truly committed to raising my child together with our family.<\/p>\n

    The teachers were always patient, waiting for my child to figure things out on their own and develop their thinking skills.\u2028<\/p>\n

    When I casually asked my daughter, “Is HAPPY HORIZONS fun?”, she replied, “I love it! I love the teachers, my friends, and myself here.”\u2028<\/p>\n

    The happiness she feels here is something that she will remember for the rest of her life, even when she\u2019s an adult.\u2028<\/p>\n

    It was wonderful to have the experience of interacting with both older and younger children in a mixed-age environment.\u2028<\/p>\n

    As the youngest, my son didn\u2019t have many opportunities to interact with younger children before joining HAPPY HORIZONS. But here, he had the chance to take care of the little ones, and I believe he learned kindness.\u2028<\/p>\n

    It was also a valuable experience for him to speak English with Mr. D and Ms. Cherish. The food was delicious too.
